Hi guys
I came across this editing software which looks similar to Hitfilm and also appears to be free. https://www.blackmagicdesign.com/uk/pro ... ciresolve/
I haven't had a go yet but it looks like it could be good.
Found some different free editing software

Is there a reason to not use HitFilm?

Not that I know of, but if someone didn't like it they may want to try this one instead?

I know DaVinci Resolve very well...
It was born in the Cinema Industry for decoding the BlackMagic camera files. Then it was used for the Color Correction. Since last year, Blackmagic has added the editing support.
DaVinci is used in Broadcast studios for Color Correction, but as it is free, it is also gaining space for nonlinear editing.

The blackmagic stuff is very good, very technical, but is (I would say) harder to learn than hitfilm. Good to have choices though
