Usually that happens because Muvizu can't find the textures. You can assign them manually in Muvizu itself (by editing the model's properties), or if you make sure that the textures are in the same folder as the fbx model itself then that should (should!) help Muvizu find them.

In theory any FBX file that doesn't contain animation should (emphasis on 'should') import okay into Muvizu, although sometimes you have to resize them first in blender or something. Turbo Squid, Renderosity, ShareCG, and these sort of sites are your best bet. Thanks for your help, i have one more ...

Use the Throw motion, animate the prop flying. Probably have to have the prop in their hand first, then make it not visible at the same time as the animated prop becomes visible so it looks like they're throwing something.
