Importing Sketchup .ase

Post by Doby »

When I import .ase after exporting from Sketchup (8 & 2017) with and without collision / all combos of texture i.d. / single double sided...

They all come out chewed up. : Kinda soggy and dull.

Someone showed me a trick about moving edges, but it got lost in the MZ black hole.

Can you post a picture of what you mean? Hard to help when all we've got to go on is that the edges are wrong somehow.

Yes, you need to offset the edges a bit or the shadows go wonky on sketchup models that haven't been properly UV mapped. I guess 'soggy' was fairly accurate though :)
