Attn Doc

Post by SuitYourself »

Hi Doc, I uploaded a couple of fbx files to the assets area but of course they won't download unless they are zipped.
I tried to upload .zip format but the site wouldn't allow it.

Are you able to zip them on your end?
What would you like me to do?

Kind regards,
Suit.

PS: Tried to attach Banjo.zip to this post attachment but it said file was too large.

EDIT: I also uploaded a few other fbx files with same issue. Cheers.

Hi Suit

Thanks for flagging this issue. I'm not sure exactly why some of your fbx assets download and some open as text files in the browser. I've added a direct download link to the bottom of the view asset page which should download every time. The only problem is this doesn't increment the download counter.

Please let me know if you're happy with this solution or you'd still rather the files were zipped.

Thanks
Doc

Oh no problem at all, Doc. And thanks for doing this.

I am still looking in to the exporting to fbx, seems like there are two ways, one being ascii. It seems the ascii versions don't get downloaded.
I don't really care about the download counter. So long as what ever I create is able to be grabbed by those who want to use it. :)

Here's a couple of links to the video I did using those assets:
