Easter Egg Codes

Post by StarHopper »

I just noticed that the 2013 version of the software has a listing for "Easter eggs" under the Tools menu.

It launches a requester that states "If you find any 8-character codes lying around in Muvizu, you can enter them here to unlock an easter egg."

The 4 eggs are listed as Jann's got talent, Shark attack, The Blob, and Muvizu art gallery.

Have any of you long time users find these codes?

I believe there's one on the wanted sign, and one spray painted on the club wall? (I may be wrong)

Edit: I think they were hosted on the Muvizu site so you probably won't be able to watch them anyway. :/

Found the one on the back wall of the club which unlocks The blob.

Launch button appears but nothing happens when I press it as you suspected.

So were these easter eggs movies hidden on the Muvizu site?

Yes, if I remember rightly, it takes you to a secret video hosted on the Muvizu site. Some of the devs may still have this video and may be willing to share?
Don't worry, you're not missing out on much. They were only short clips with Muvizu characters.

That's good to know. I'll be able to answer students when they ask as some surely will ;)

Most of the easter egg codes were within Muvizu itself, with the exception of one that was the Muvizu forum. There was a user whose profile picture was a bunch of easter eggs, and whose name was the code you had to enter. He would occasionally post silly questions on the forum and people would be extremely helpful, offering advice on his silly questions. As far as I know, no-one figured that one out.
Former Muvizu developer, please don't blame me!

Oh wow! I never noticed that.

...and that we'll be the one my students can't find. Very cool!

I have 86 of them who'll be working with Muvizu over the next 4 months and I've listed this site as a primary source of information and guidance.

You might want to structure the lessons around each chapter of this guide: http://www.anizu.uk/muvizu-downloads/mu ... ons-v2.pdf
(Or maybe a few chapters per lesson if they're fast)

It is a great reference, I agree. I even created a direct link for my students however, in terms of learning, my lessons focus more on the film making process rather than software training.
