AVI on TV object

Post by veron »

Can anyone help with an AVI file on the TV object?
I imported the avi onto the plasma tv object and it seems grand. but it stops playing if i edit something else and it won't render in muvizu as playing either. It renders as a still frame from the avi movie on the tv.I don't know where i'm going wrong.
I'm using Virtual Dub to compress as xvid. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

What Muvizu version are you using.
For latest versions XVID video format doesn´t work anymore.

Thanks very much for the reply.
I'm using the latest version of Muvizu.
I have been following the video and rendered the movie to avi, uncompressed with color depth - auto and 32 bit rgb (888), is that right?
Muvizu has been quitting on me when i try to import it.

I have after effects but can't make out the settings on the video.
Thanks again for your help

Choosen format is ok. Muvizu quit may be due to video lenght. This method produces uncompressed video and muvizu doesn,'t deals well with long files if you have not enough memory. Try to use same video in a backdrop and see if it works.

Veron, you need to convert your AVI to a Microsoft MPEG-4 codec (uncompressed is way too big for import). I use Xilisoft Video Converter to do it, but any free video converter should have the MPEG 4 codec.

This is all great. I got it working.
We have kids making a little 'Inside out' type of movie on Mental health for younger kids.
It's going so well now.

Thank you all for so much help.
