I ran into another problem while rendering the two video clips for the right and left eye in my music video. Maybe some of you have an idea what I am doing wrong or how to deal with it. When I render the two clips with exactly the same options and only changing the camera, one of them is slightly longer (5 frames or so). This might not seem much, but when you watch them with vr glasses, after one minute or so you notice quite clearly that the two clips are ou tof sync, and at the end of the clip (ca. 4 minutes) they're totally off.

What I am trying to do at the moment is exporting an image sequence and then delete five frames in one of the clips spaced out evenly over the whole duration of the video. That makes it a little better, but still not perfect. Is there something I'm doing wrong or is it just that the rendering process of Muvizu isn't as accurate at this poinz as it would need to be?
Are you importing both at 25FPS?

Yep, same settings for rendering an import to Hitfilm. When you export an image sequence you can actually see the exact number of frames in each clip, and there were exactly five more in the first clip.

Try re-rendering the first clip and see if the extra frames show up again.

Thanks for your input. At the moment Im re-rendering the second clip since the "preview"-option in the "make video"-window tells me there should be 5903 frames, but there were only 5898. So maybe there weren't any extra frames in the first video but some missing in the second...

I'll get back to you tomorrow when the rendering is through. :)

Quick Update: This time I got all the 5903 frames. 8-) I'll see how this works out after post production in Hitfilm.

I'm finally done with my music video, you can watch it here:

You should get binaural sound as well, meaning that the direction of the different sound sources should change with the movement of the point of view. It seems however that this doesn't work for iOS-devices.

I'd appreciate any kind of feedback, since I'm still in an experimenting phase.

WOW!
How did you do the audio?
That was really great! Felt like I was right there!

The audio was done in Reaper with the Spatial Workstation supplied by Facebook. That's a series of plugins and programs which make it possible to create sound for 360-videos which changes in position together with the video. You have to have separate tracks for the different instruments to start with, but if you have got that, it's quite easy to use.

Ah, thank you! I was doing some research and I see what you mean. Just have to get Reaper ($60) sigh. Great job!

Reaper offers a fully functional trial version for free, so you can at least take the first steps towards spatial audio without spendig any money. Even after paying the license fee Reaper is still a very good deal compared to other audio software. So I'd recommend to just take a chance with the free vesrsion and see if you're getting somewhere, and then you can always spend the 60$ if you think it is worth it for you.
