Cannot open any of the .set files from this websote

Post by timcadieux »

I've downloaded about 12 different .set files so far and every single one refuses to open. I get the error

There was an error opening the scene.
The file is an unknown format.

I'm using version v1.6 build 2015.11.17 64bit

Any ideas?

Edit:

Just tried creating new video and choose multiple of the built in scenes and now i'm getting this error

There was an error loading the scene.
A Valid licence was not found for some the the requested content?

I'm going to try removing this version and installing the version from the Anizu downloads.

That version is a bit finicky about both sets made in older versions and sets made in newer versions. If you have a Play+ licence, download and install the latest version: http://www.anizu.uk/muvizu-downloads/Mu ... 1R_x64.exe
(Remember to copy over the playplus.lic file from your old install)

If you don't have a licence, try the 2013 version http://www.anizu.uk/muvizu-downloads/Mu ... 1R_x64.exe
Apparently around half of the sets on this site work in that version, but I don't know which ones will work and which won't.

Reason: Wrong link for the 2013 version... oops!

Yeah, the day i went to buy a license the website had gone into administration.

I'm grabbing the 2013 version now.

For the future, i might be interesting if the downloadable assets could be tagged with which version they worked in?

Thx

I'm happy to set up some sort of tagging system on this site but don't have time to test everything to see what works. If someone is able to note down which sets work that would be great. :)

Also double check you downloaded the 2013 version and not the 2017 one because I initially posted the wrong link by mistake!

If there was a Forum sticky or something, people could comment. I'll be starting to use some soon so I could confirm at least which versions open in the 2013 version.

I've made this open spreadsheet listing all the sets that can be found at http://anizu.uk/assets
https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/ ... sp=sharing

Please update the rightmost column with if the set opens or not. (Anyone can change this so if anyone finds a set does/doesn't work then please update the sheet)

I'll have a look in a couple of weeks (Someone may need to remind me) and then will update the page on this site accordingly.

(I'm just going to assume the sets at http://www.anizu.uk/anizuAssets are made in the latest version and therefore will not work)

Thank you! :D

I've started downloading and testing the .set files.

Question, some of the require Content Packs....is there any way to use a Content Pack with the Free version?

You could try downloading and installing the free content packs on this page? http://www.anizu.uk/downloads

it says i need a licence for them to work

'These files can be run to install the free content packs as long as you have a Muvizu:Play+ licence.'
